Baron Empain Palace

The Baron Empain Palace is located in the Heliopolis district on Al-Orouba Street, along the main road leading to Cairo International Airport. It was built by Baron Empain between 1907 and 1911. Édouard Empain was granted the title of Baron by the King of France in recognition of his efforts in establishing the Paris Metro, as Empain was an outstanding engineer. Therefore, the palace was named the “Baron Palace” after its owner.

Al- Zaafaran Palace

Al-Zafaran Palace is located in the Abbassia district of Cairo, and the palace currently serves as the administrative headquarters of Ain Shams University. It was built in 1870 during the reign of Khedive Ismail on an area of one feddan, surrounded by gardens covering approximately 100 feddans, in addition to the winter gardens located inside the palace. The palace consists of three floors: the first floor is used for reception, the second floor contains eight bedrooms, and the third floor was designated for members of the royal entourage.

Al-Sakakini Pasha Palace

The palace is located in Sakakini Square in central Cairo, specifically in the Daher district. It was built by Italian architects who came especially to participate in its construction, and it is considered a remarkable example of Rococo art. The palace is one of the oldest palaces in Egypt, having been built in 1897 by Habib Pasha El-Sakakini. The area was named Sakakini after the palace was built, in honor of its owner, Habib Pasha El-Sakakini. The palace is currently under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Antiquities.

Abdeen Palace

Abdeen Palace is located in Republic Square in the Abdeen district of central Cairo. The palace houses several museums, including the Museum of Medals and Decorations, the Silverware Museum, the Historical Documents Museum, and a museum displaying the possessions of the Muhammad Ali Pasha family. It is one of the most famous presidential palaces built during the rule of the Muhammad Ali dynasty. Khedive Ismail ordered the construction of Abdeen Palace immediately after he assumed power in Egypt in 1863. He wanted to move the ruler’s residence from the Citadel, which had served as the seat of government in Egypt, to the center of the city he governed.

Manasterly Palace

Al-Manasterly Palace is located in the Al-Malek Al-Saleh area of Manial, specifically at the end of Nile Meter Street on Al-Roda Island. The palace is a rare architectural masterpiece overlooking the Nile. It was built on the ruins of the palace of Sultan Al-Saleh Najm Al-Din Ayyub and was established by Fouad Pasha Al-Manasterly. The palace has since been restored and developed and is currently used as a venue for receptions and classical music concerts. It also houses the Umm Kulthum Museum.
