Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, inaugurated two “Ahlan Madaris” exhibitions in the districts of Downtown Cairo and Bab El-Shaaria, as part of the governorate’s efforts, in cooperation with civil society organizations and members of the House of Representatives, to provide students with the school supplies and educational materials they need in preparation for the start of the new academic year. The initiative aims to make it easier for families to purchase these necessities and reduce their financial burden.
He was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Anwar Atiya El-Adel, Deputy Governor for the Western Area, along with a number of members of the House of Representatives and Senate and senior officials from the governorate.
The Governor of Cairo toured the sections of the two exhibitions and reviewed the school supplies, educational materials, and essential items on display. He stressed the importance of making these products available at appropriate quality and reduced prices, enabling families to purchase their children’s school needs at affordable prices.
He emphasized that the establishment of the “Ahlan Madaris” exhibitions comes in implementation of the state’s directives to provide citizens with essential goods and supplies at reasonable prices. He noted that the governorate is working to expand the establishment of such exhibitions across various districts of Cairo, particularly in densely populated and underserved areas, to ensure that services and goods at affordable prices reach the largest possible number of citizens.
The Governor of Cairo also stressed the need for continuous monitoring of the exhibitions to ensure the availability and quality of all school supplies and that exhibitors adhere to the announced prices. This, he said, would help achieve the objective of the exhibitions: supporting families as the new academic year approaches.
He praised the efforts of civil society organizations and members of the House of Representatives and Senate in cooperating with the executive authorities to improve the quality of life and services provided to citizens.
