Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, received Dr. Bandar bin Fahd Al-Fahad, President of the Arab Tourism Organization, at his office at the Cairo Governorate headquarters, as part of efforts to strengthen joint cooperation in tourism and develop Cairo’s tourism sector.
The meeting discussed ways to develop and boost mutual tourism flows and attract more Arab tourists to Cairo, given its unique status as a tourist, historical, and cultural destination.
The meeting also addressed ways to attract Arab tourism investments to Cairo by facilitating partnership procedures between the public and private sectors and creating an attractive investment environment that would contribute to establishing high-quality tourism projects that meet the expectations of Arab tourists and enhance competitiveness.
Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, affirmed the governorate’s full readiness to cooperate with the Arab Tourism Organization in implementing joint programs and projects in a manner that serves the interests of both sides.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the President of the Arab Tourism Organization praised the ongoing efforts made by the Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to develop and advance the tourism sector, given the promising sector’s significant economic returns and the wide range of employment opportunities it provides for young people.
