Culture Minister Nivine al-Kilani said that Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) in its 55th edition has become an “integrated capital for culture and arts” and a forum for different world nationalities in Egypt.
Kilani told on the sidelines of the fair Saturday that this round is seeing a high visitor turnout by thousands of families from villages and cities outside the capital who are keen to organize daily trips to the exhibition.
The move is reflecting the awareness of the Egyptians and greater interest in becoming part of this annual, important and cultural event, added the minister.
The 55th edition of the fair is held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and inaugurated by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Culture Minister Nivine al-Kilani.
Activities of the fair will last until February 6.
