The Cairo Opera House will
resume its activities with a concert by the National Arab Music Ensemble led by
Maestro Hazem al-Qasabgy on Thursday, November 2 at the Grand Theater on eight
PM.
The concert’s program includes
selections of famous patriotic and romantic songs, including “Helwa Beladi” (My
Sweet Country,) “Ana al-Masry” (I Am the Egyptian), “Zahrat al-Mada’in” (The
Flower of Cities), “Bahebek Ya Belady” (I Love You, My Country) and others,
performed by Ahmed Effat, Ayat Farouk, Enas Ezz Elddin, Manar Samir, Sameh
Mounir, and Ashraf Walid.
The President of the Egyptian Opera
House, Khaled Dagher, announced the resumption of the opera events after being
postponed for nearly two weeks in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Dagher announced the postponement of
the 32nd session of the Arab Music Festival, which was scheduled to start on
October 20, upon a decision from the Minister of Culture, Nevin al-Kilani.
