Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli discussed in a meeting with Civil Aviation minister Mohamed Abbas Helmy
and Tourism and Antiquities Minister Ahmed Eissa the possibility of operating
low-cost flights to promote inbound tourism to Egypt.
In this regard, the two ministers
asserted that there is full coordination to operate such kind of flights.
During the meeting, Civil Aviation
minister Mohamed Abbas Helmy expounded the coordination results between the
ministries of civil aviation and tourism and antiquities to launch the
operation of the low-cost flights.
The first phase of the project is
set to start with limited number of planes, to be gradually increased after
assessing the trial operation, Helmy said.
Modern, low-emissions aircraft will
be used, the minister explained, adding the flights could be booked through
