Major-General
Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization
(AOI), discussed with Egypt’s Minister of Education and Technical Education
Mohammad Abdel Latif ways to strengthen co-operation in education and
technology.
The AOI chairman
praised the ministry’s efforts to modernize educational systems and integrate
smart communication tools. He highlighted the AOI’s role, guided by
presidential directives, in establishing two applied technology schools in
partnership with the ministry. These schools aim to train skilled technical workers
to meet labor market needs. The AOI also provides training through its
academies in areas such as digitization, smart manufacturing, welding, and
assembly.
During the
discussion, they focused on expanding the use of artificial intelligence (AI)
in education. The talks also covered providing the ministry with essential
equipment like interactive screens, tablets, laptops, surveillance systems, and
school furniture.
Additionally, they
addressed improving school infrastructure and exploring the use of solar energy
to reduce electricity consumption. The chairman affirmed that AOI’s training centers
are prepared to offer students and teachers training on the latest software and
applications.
For his part,
Minister Abdel Latif underscored the importance of this partnership with AOI,
which is expected to bring a significant shift in education by introducing
advanced technology and interactive media. He stressed the ministry’s
commitment to expanding AI applications and advancing digital transformation in
schools. He also noted the ongoing co-operation with Japan, which aligns with
the state’s vision to prepare future-ready generations.
The minister also
acknowledged the AOI’s support for school infrastructure with electronic
devices and smart solutions. He reviewed efforts to expand applied technology
schools in collaboration with the private sector and international
institutions, noting that these schools would adhere to global standards and
provide graduates with international certificates to qualify them for local and
