Egypt has risen
22 spots in the 2024 Global Youth Development Index, ranking 99th out of 183
countries, with a score of 0.733.
This
improvement, up from 123rd place in 2020, reflects the country's efforts to
empower its youth through comprehensive programs in education, sports,
employment, and culture.
Minister of
Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi credited this progress to strong political
support and investments in youth infrastructure, which have helped young
Egyptians develop their skills and contribute to national development.
The index,
published by the Commonwealth, places Egypt in the "high-performing"
category for youth development.
