Obtaining a computerized family registration record is one of the key electronic services provided by the Ministry of Interior. It saves citizens time and effort and allows them to access the service easily without having to visit Ministry facilities. Electronic services also help reduce overcrowding at Ministry facilities and make it easier for citizens to obtain the required documents and records electronically from home. The service can be accessed using a computer or mobile phone through several simple steps, without leaving home.
The Ministry of Interior provides its electronic services through its official website. First, applicants must create an account on the website by clicking “Log In” at the top of the homepage, then selecting “Create a New Account” and entering their accurate personal information and national ID number to access the available services.
A computerized family registration record can be obtained electronically for the applicant, one of their parents, or one of their grandparents within seven working days, for a fee of EGP 65. The applicant must enter the details of the requested document, including the applicant’s relationship to the person concerned, full name, mother’s name, and national ID number. The applicant must then agree to the terms and conditions for issuing the document, enter their personal details, select the payment method, and complete the application. The date and location for collecting the document will then be determined.
To use the service, several requirements must be met, including:
Computerized birth certificates must have previously been issued for all family members, or ID cards for family members over the age of 16.
The marital status shown on the national ID cards of both spouses must reflect their current and most recent marital status.
The applicant must be the person concerned or a relative up to the second degree, including the father, mother, brother, or sister.
Complete family information must be provided, including the husband, wife, and children.
A computerized marriage certificate must have been previously issued.
In the event of divorce, complete divorce details must be provided.
If there is more than one wife, the full names and national ID numbers of all wives and children must be provided.
If a family member has died, a computerized death certificate must have been previously issued.
