The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has predicted the persistence of autumn-like conditions across the country. Weather is expected to be moderate during early morning, tending to be warm along the northern coasts during the daytime, hot across Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt, and extremely hot in southern Upper Egypt.
The authority forecast light rainfall that may occasionally become moderate and thundery, with a probability of around 30%, affecting scattered areas of the northern coasts, northern Lower Egypt, the Western Desert, and central Upper Egypt.
According to the EMA, some areas may witness heavier rainfall at times, with a probability of approximately 20%, occurring intermittently.
There are also slight chances of light rain with a probability of around 10% in scattered areas of southern Lower Egypt, the Canal Cities, South Sinai, and Hurghada. Light showers may also extend to isolated parts of Greater Cairo at intermittent intervals.
The authority warned of morning fog between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai, which may reduce horizontal visibility in certain areas.
Winds are expected to be active across most parts of the country and may stir up sand and dust at times over parts of the Western Desert and northern Upper Egypt.
The EMA urged citizens to exercise caution while driving on roads affected by morning fog or strong winds and to follow weather updates throughout the day, particularly in areas expected to experience thunderstorms.
Meteorologists predict that Cairo will see highs of 31°C and lows of 22°C.
