Supreme Council for Media Regulation: Change to end time of sports program broadcasts

The Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by Engineer Khaled Abdelaziz, has approved the recommendation of the Sports Media Performance Monitoring Committee, chaired by Counselor Abdel Salam El-Naggar, Vice President of the State Council and a member of the Council, to change the end time for sports programs broadcast on satellite television channels and radio stations to 12:00 midnight instead of 1:00 a.m. The decision comes as Egypt switches to winter time, effective at midnight on Thursday, October 29.

The Council has granted satellite television channels until November 23 to adjust their programming schedules to comply with the new timing. The decision will take effect on that date, coinciding with the resumption of Egyptian Premier League matches following the international break. The Council has also instructed its General Monitoring Department to oversee compliance with the decision by all media outlets.
