Cairo Gov. attends employment forum to support youth at Sikka Hadid Club

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber attended the employment forum organized by the governorate in collaboration with one of the joint-stock companies specializing in petroleum product marketing. The event was held at Al-Sikka Al-Hadid Sporting Club as part of the governorate’s efforts to support youth, create new job opportunities, and align them with labor market demands.

The forum was attended by Deputy Governors Ashraf Mansour, Mona Al-Batrawi, Dr. Ahmed Anwar Atiya Al-Adl, and Dr. Mohammad Gomaa; the Chairman of Emirates Egypt Company; Dr. Hemat Abu Keila, Director of the Education Directorate; and several officials from the Cairo Governorate.

The forum aims to provide approximately 400 job opportunities for youth aged 18 to 40 across 15 petrol stations in Cairo and its suburbs. These positions offer genuine employment prospects and prepare young people to integrate into the labor market. The jobs come with salaries no less than the state-approved minimum wage, along with material and in-kind benefits, transportation, promotion opportunities, social insurance, and healthcare.

During the forum, Governor Saber said the governorate is committed to supporting initiatives that promote youth employment, particularly students and graduates of technical schools and universities, helping to qualify and economically empower them. He underlined the need for cooperation with the private sector and companies across different industries to create suitable employment opportunities for young people.

Saber further added that employment forums serve as an important bridge between job-seeking youth and companies and institutions in need of qualified staff, stressing that the governorate will continue to support and organize such events to maximize benefits for youth.

The forum also featured participation from students of technical schools and university students, such as Al-Azhar University and the Labor University, as well as residents of redeveloped areas. Participants were given the opportunity to explore career opportunities and skill requirements, attend interviews, and gain insight into labor market demands and the skills needed.
