The Egyptian Museum
The Egyptian Museum is located on the north side of Tahrir
Square in the center of Cairo, near the Sadat metro station, the present
Egyptian Museum was designed in 1896 by the French Architect Marcel Dourgnon in
the neo-classic style that suits the ancient and classical monuments. The
museum now houses the largest archaeological collection in the world,
reflecting all stages of ancient Egyptian history.

The museum is located at Bab al- Khaliq
area in the center of historical Cairo. It was founded in 1903. The museum is
an Arabic style building and it has a collection of rare Islamic antiquities

Egyptian Geological Museum
The Egyptian Geological Museum is located on the Nile Corniche
in Maddi. The Museum is considered the first of its kind in the Arab world and
the Middle East. It displays different samples of rocks, minerals and fossils,
It is over 100 years old. As it was established in 1901 and opened to the
public on 1 December 1904.

National Museum of Egyptian Civilization
The National Museum of Civilization, which is the
first real museum of Egyptian civilization, is located in Fustat area
overlooking Ein Sira Lake. The museum contains main exhibition that shows the
most important achievements of Egyptian civilization, in addition to 6
exhibitions containing the dawn of civilization, the Nile, writing, state and
society, culture, beliefs and ideas, and the exhibition of royal mummies.

Abdeen Palace Museum complex
Abdeen Palace Museums are located inside Abdeen palace, which is
located Abdeen Square Downtown - Cairo. The sons and grandsons of Khedive
Ismail dedicated some of the palace halls to include a number of antiques and
collectibles acquired from outside and inside the country. The complex features
a military museum of all arms, a museum of ancient weapons and a third of the
medals and orders of merit bestowed on members of Egypt’s formal royal family
and eminent Egyptian figures.

The Egyptian Postal Museum
The
museum is located in Al Attaba Al- khadra square at the post
office building.
This museum was opened during the 10th World Postal Conference in
Cairo in 1934. The Postal Museum shows the history of the Egyptian post since
its establishment in 1886 until now. The museum contains the most important
stamps that is issued by the Postal Authority.

The Child Center for Civilization and Creativity (The
Child Museum) is located on Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Street in Heliopolis. The museum is an educational entertainment entity for children to
discover Egypt. The Museum was built in 1985 as a joint part of the British
Museum.

Egyptian Modern Art museum
Egyptian Modern Art museum is located inside the premises of the
Egyptian Opera House in Zamalek area in Cairo. The current building was built in
1936 AD and was officially opened in October 1991. The museum has undergone a
comprehensive developing process of the displaying systems, lightening and was
reopened in 5/3/2005.

Museum of Art and Garden
The Museum of Art and the Garden is
located at Gezira Arts Center of the Fine Arts Sector at Prince Amr Ibrahim
Palace in Zamalek. The museum was established in 1971. Its garden is about 3560
m2, and it contains many unique collections of different dimensions, subjects
and materials.

Street, off Al-Saliba Street inside Prince Taz Palace, Engy Aflaton is the
Egyptian artist who left the life of the aristocracy to join the struggling
people. She embodied the social injustice on the poor and peasants in more than
thousand paintings. Some of these paintings in addition to some of her personal
collections are exhibited inside her museum.

Banque Misr Museum is located in the main bank building that is
located in Mohamed Farid Street in downtown. The bank was established by
Mohamed Talaat Harp in 1920. The museum contains many of Physical collections,
historical documents, books, and folders for a historic era, full of giving and
effort of loyal men who carried the torch of Bank Misr.

House of Nation Museum
The museum is located at Saad Zaghloul
Street. The Museum is located in the house of the Egyptian leader Saad Zaghloul
to contain the furniture as they were in the life of Saad in addition to a
collection of his clothes, and his Niachens. The museum has been renewed and reopened
on January 16, 2003.

The Gayer Anderson Museum
It is
located at Ahmed Ibn Tulun square in Al-Sayeda Zeinab area. The museum was
founded by a British major, John Gayer-Anderson, an army doctor. It consists of
an amazing patchwork of Islamic styles and artifacts packed into two wonderful
ancient residences: Beit el-Kiridiliya (1632) and Beit Amna Bent Salim (1540).

Farouk Corner Museum
Farouk Corner Museum is located in Helwan area at the end of the
Nile Corniche. The museum was originally as a royal retreat for King Farouk
until it was confiscated after the July Revolution. Then it was handed over to
Cairo governorate to be a part of of the museum sector of the Supreme Council
of Antiquities.

It is located on the eastern side of the Nile on the island of
Manial al-Rawda. It has a unique architectural design. Prince Mohammed Ali, the
son of the former Khedive Mohammed Tawfiq established the palace, which
converted now into a museum.

Mahmud Mokhtar Museum
The museum is located at Al-Tahrir Street, in front of the
Egyptian Opera House, and the Opera Metro station is considered the closest to
the museum. The Mokhtar Museum is a museum housing the sculptures and works of
the famous Egyptian sculptor Mahmud Mokhtar. The Museum was opened in Al-Horria
Park El-Gezirah Land in 1962 AD.
