Youth Min., Cairo Gov. attend Youth Workers Fed. dialogue meeting
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, attended the dialogue meeting organized by the General Federation of Youth Workers. The meeting was held in the conference hall at the Youth Development Center in Al-Gazeera, with the attendance of several ministry officials and youth workers from various governorates.
The meeting reviewed the efforts and activities of the General Federation of Youth Workers over the past period. Attendees expressed their appreciation for the significant support provided by the Minister of Youth and Sports, which resulted in a qualitative leap in the Federation's work, particularly in programs and initiatives targeting working youth and irregular workers.
Moreover, the meeting addressed the union's initiatives aimed at empowering young workers and integrating them into public life by expanding their community and political participation. It also highlighted efforts to empower women and activate their roles in various fields, as well as the union's activities throughout Egypt.
In his speech during the meeting, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, emphasized that the ministry places great importance on supporting young workers and informal laborers, considering them key partners in comprehensive development. He added that the upcoming period will see increased cooperation with the General Federation of Youth Workers to expand the beneficiary base of its programs.
The minister said, "We believe in the capabilities of young workers and are committed to empowering them through specialized programs and quality initiatives. We strive to enhance their role in building society and participating in public life." He added, "Dialogue meetings, such as 'A Minister from Us,' serve as important platforms for communication and for listening to the opinions and aspirations of young people. We will work to translate these into practical, executable steps."
The meeting was attended by Ismail El-Far, First Assistant to the Minister of Youth and Sports; Dr. Abdullah Al-Batsh, Assistant Minister for Youth Centers Affairs; Dr. Sayed Hazin, Head of the Central Department for Youth Centers and Organizations; Abdel Aziz Samir, President of the General Federation of Youth Workers; and several young workers from various parts of Egypt.
The meeting is part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports' strategy to enhance communication with various youth groups and to listen to their visions and proposals, thereby contributing to the development of effective youth cadres that support societal progress.
