​Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber and Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy conducted an inspection tour of the Mataria district after their Iftar meal, during which they met the youth organizers of the largest mass Iftar table in Egypt. 

Saber and Sobhy also followed up on the preparations of the residents of the Mataria neighborhood for this celebration, which is being held for the eleventh consecutive year.

During their tour, one of the families in the neighborhood insisted on hosting them in their home. They praised the warmth, generosity, and joy among the residents, which embodies the spirit of love and solidarity in Egypt during Ramadan.

Moreover, Saber and Sobhy listened to everyone's preparations for the mass Iftar celebration that will be held next Saturday, in which thousands of elders, youth, and children will participate.

The Mataria mass Iftar has been held since 2013, with the concept centered around creating an annual Iftar table that encourages participation from all residents through their own efforts, transforming it into the longest Ramadan table in Egypt. It was only suspended in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
