During the inauguration ceremony, Governor Saber said the governorate is continuing to establish outlets, one-day markets, and Ramadan fairs across all neighborhoods of the capital, especially in the neediest areas ahead of the holy month to ensure the availability of all essential goods in one place for citizens at affordable prices suitable for all social classes.
During the inauguration ceremony, Governor Saber said the governorate is continuing to establish outlets, one-day markets, and Ramadan fairs throughout all neighborhoods of the capital, particularly in the neediest areas, in preparation for the holy month. This initiative aims to ensure that essential goods are readily available in one location for citizens at affordable prices that cater to all social classes.
Governor Saber stated that there is strict oversight of prices at the "Ahlan Ramadan" exhibitions to protect citizens from exploitation. He also said that the executive bodies in the governorate are conducting extensive inspection campaigns throughout Cairo to ensure the availability of various goods in adequate quantities and at reasonable prices. These efforts aim to regulate the markets, combat commercial fraud and price manipulation, and address attempts by certain traders to monopolize essential goods.
Saber added that legal measures will be implemented against violators, emphasizing the necessity of displaying clear and legible price tags. He also highlighted the importance of marking the prices of food products on sale for each item individually, both before and after discounts.
The "Ahlan Ramadan" exhibition in the Amireya district, the largest exhibition of the Holding Company for Food Industries, offers discounts of up to 30% on all goods. These include rice, oil, sugar, flour, pasta, meat, poultry, vegetables, spices, dairy products, cleaning supplies, and fruits, all priced lower than market rates.
