Cairo Gov. inspects development convoy at Ain Shams University

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber inspected in the presence of the President of Ain Shams University, Dr. Ghada Farouq, the comprehensive development medical convoy launched by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector of Ain Shams University at the medical center of Ahalina 1 in Salam Awal district.

 

That comes as part of the activities of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Building Human Beings.” Deputy Cairo Governor Mona Batrawy, representatives of Al-Azhar and the Coptic Orthodox Church, and members of the House of Representatives and the Senate also attended the convoy.  

During his tour, Saber praised the role of civil society organizations in collaborating with executive bodies to provide services aimed at improving the quality of life for residents of alternative housing projects as part of the state's efforts to enhance their lives for the better.

Moreover, Saber commended the community role played by the Ain Shams University in collaboration with the executive bodies of Cairo governorate, especially in improving the health standards of citizens and participating in initiatives targeting the most vulnerable groups.

The medical convoy launched in the Ahalina 1 Housing Project witnessed a high turnout from citizens who received medical services and obtained medications for free.

The convoy included specialties such as internal medicine, ophthalmology, pediatrics, pulmonology, gynecology, cardiology, dermatology, orthopedics, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), as well as blood pressure and sugar measurements. It also referred cases requiring surgical procedures to university hospitals.

The convoy also offered mobile clinics for family planning and mobile health office vehicles that provide vaccinations, birth certificates for the first time, death certificates, and vaccinations for travelers.

The Ministry of Planning also provided Egypt Services vehicles that offer social insurance, notary services, and documentation services.
