Culture Minister Nevine el Kilani reiterated on Friday 15/09/2023 keenness on boosting cultural cooperation with China and carrying out more joint cultural programs and activities.

The minister made the remarks during a meeting with Chinese Culture and Tourism Minister Hu Heping during her participation in the opening of 2023 Beijing Culture Forum, according to a press release by the Culture Ministry.

The two sides discussed the cultural domains the two countries should focus on within the coming stage, cultural heritage protection and future cultural projects. Kilani thanked the Chinese side for inviting her to take part in the opening of the session.

The meeting comes as part of the Culture Ministry's interest to draw on other countries' distinguished experiments in cultural and innovative domains, particularly those of China.

The Chinese minister said cooperation between China and Arab countries has witnessed fruitful accomplishments, citing the participation of many Arab artists in innovative trips under the Silk Road Artists initiative.

Themed "inheriting cultural legacies and promoting exchanges and cooperation," the 2023 Beijing Culture Forum opened on Thursday in Beijing.

The two-day formed was committed to advancing cultural exchanges with five themed forums and an array of cultural activities that are set to last until October, according to China's Global Times.

Over 600 participants from China and abroad will hold in-depth talks at the five themed forums covering conservation and inheritance of cultural heritage, empowering culture with technology, shaping the human mind, integrating culture and tourism, and mutual learning among civilizations.
