Cairo Gov. oversees demolition of illegal building in Zaiton
Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber supervised the
demolition of eight illegal floors at building No. 14 Al-Aqqad Street in the
Al-Zaytoun neighborhood. Governor Saber instructed that the violators be
referred to the relevant prosecution authorities.
Moreover, Saber emphasized that there would be zero tolerance for
construction violations, regardless of their size or location, without
exception, to enforce the law and uphold the authority of the state.
Saber also emphasized that the governorate’s executive bodies and the
Spatial Variables Department remain on high alert to confront any
attempts at illegal construction. He urged district chiefs to take all
necessary measures to enforce the rule of law, deal decisively with building
violations, and remove encroachments immediately.
Saber added that the executive bodies in the governorate should continue
their efforts throughout the day to monitor any illegal construction and
address it immediately. He emphasized that those who fail to perform follow-up
inspections will be held accountable without delay. The building is licensed
for a ground-floor garage, a mezzanine, and two typical floors; a demolition
order has been issued for each unauthorized floor.
