In
line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to launch the
"Abwab El-Khair" initiative supporting the neediest families during
the holy month of Ramadan, Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber attended the
inauguration of the initiative's activities in the Asmarat district. The
Asmarat district is one of the state's leading projects aimed at providing
decent housing and improving citizens' quality of life. The "Abwab
El-Khair" initiative was launched by Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa from the
New Administrative Capital.
Governor Saber
stated that the initiative aims to distribute 40,000 boxes of food supplies to
the most vulnerable families residing in alternative housing projects provided
for those relocated from informal settlements, including areas such as Asmarat,
Ma’an, Ahaleina, and Al-Mahrousa, to alleviate the burdens of citizens and
ensure their basic needs are met during the holy month.
Moreover, Saber
stated that the Egyptian government, under the leadership of President Abdel
Fattah El-Sisi, places great emphasis on social protection and is committed to
launching impactful initiatives aimed at the most vulnerable groups. That
reflects the state's dedication to achieving social justice and fostering the
values of solidarity and cohesion among its citizens.
Saber also praised
the pivotal role played by the Tahya Misr Fund in collaboration with the
Ministry of Social Solidarity and all relevant authorities. He emphasized that
the governorate's agencies provide full logistical and coordination support to
ensure that aid reaches eligible recipients based on accurate databases, in a
manner that guarantees transparency and fairness in distribution.
Saber emphasized the
Cairo Governorate's ongoing support for presidential and community initiatives
aimed at improving citizens' quality of life. These efforts align with the
directives of the political leadership to strengthen the comprehensive development
underway in the New Republic.
The "Abwab
El-Khair" initiative, organized by the Tahya Misr Fund in cooperation with
the Ministry of Social Solidarity, is part of the state's efforts to strengthen
the social protection framework and provide food support to families most in need,
particularly those living in alternative housing projects.
