Governor Saber
expressed his pleasure in participating in the celebration marking the 150th
anniversary of the establishment of Al-Ahram Foundation, a venerable media
institution whose name is closely linked to the history of modern Egypt. This
foundation has witnessed the nation's journey and played a vital role in
building its collective awareness. Saber added that since its inception,
Al-Ahram Foundation has been more than just a newspaper conveying news; it has
served as a platform for thought and a responsible national voice that keeps
pace with events, addresses societal issues, contributes to shaping public
awareness, and fulfills its professional mission with honesty and commitment.
Moreover, Saber
stated that Al-Ahram, throughout its long history, has documented important
milestones in the history of the Egyptian state, keeping pace with political,
economic, and cultural transformations. It has introduced media that respects
the reader's mind and values the power of words and their impact on society.
This vital role of the national media aligns with the conscious vision
emphasized by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who believes in the importance of
responsible journalism and the press's role in fostering
societal awareness, strengthening national identity, and supporting the state's
efforts in development and construction.
Saber also affirmed
that while we celebrate today the rich history of the Al-Ahram Foundation, we
are simultaneously honoring its enduring and ongoing influence. This influence
has enabled the institution to develop its tools, keep pace with the times, and
blend tradition with innovation, all while preserving its national mission and
enlightening role. He added that this anniversary serves as a tribute to
everyone who contributed to building this huge foundation—pioneers,
journalists, male and female reporters, and employees who bore the
responsibility of the word and consistently lived up to it.
Saber extended his
sincere congratulations to the Al-Ahram institution, its leadership, and its
employees on this historic anniversary. He wished them continued leadership and
influence, hoping it remains a beacon of thought and a truthful voice for the nation.
