Cairo
Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber, accompanied by the President of Capital University,
Dr. El-Sayed Qandil, inaugurated a food exhibition organized by the governorate
in collaboration with the Community Service and Environmental Development
Sector at the Capital University. The exhibition will run for four days,
offering food commodities and various products to university students, faculty
members, and staff at reasonable prices.
Deputy Cairo
Governor Ashraf Mansour, accompanied by several officials from the Cairo
Governorate and faculty members, attended the inauguration ceremony.
During the inauguration,
Governor Saber stated that holding such exhibitions exemplifies a successful
model of cooperation between state institutions. These exhibitions contribute
to providing essential goods at affordable prices and high quality, helping to
counter rising costs and alleviate the burden on citizens.
Saber also
emphasized the importance of continuing to expand the organization of community
exhibitions within universities and various institutions, highlighting their
effective role in regulating markets, achieving price stability, and providing
citizens with the opportunity to compare prices and easily obtain their needs.
The exhibition
features mobile vehicles affiliated with the Holding Company for Food
Industries at the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade and the Future of Egypt
Agency. These vehicles offer fresh meat and basic food commodities, such as
sugar, rice, and oil. Additionally, vehicles from Al-Masriyin Company,
affiliated with the public sector, are present to sell legumes, spices, and
various other food products.
The exhibition also
showcases a diverse array of non-food products from productive families,
including handicrafts and copper items, furnishings and Khaymayat, bags and
natural leather goods, men's and women's clothing, sunglasses and perfumes,
household tools, cosmetics, spices, and snacks. Additionally, it features
participation from slum alternative projects in collaboration with the Cultural
Project of the Ministry of Culture.
The exhibition
offers a comprehensive platform for showcasing and marketing handmade and
creative products within the university. It supports productive families and
students by providing genuine marketing opportunities that generate both
financial and social benefits. Additionally, it helps promote a culture of
production and freelance work among young people.
It also helps
identify student talents and encourages their development, transforming these
talents into small and medium-sized sustainable projects that align with the
state's goals of supporting entrepreneurship and promoting economic
development.
