Cairo Governor attends launching of 9th edition of 'Ahram Energy’ Conf.
Under
the auspices of Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouli, Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim
Saber witnessed the launch of the ninth edition of the annual Al-Ahram Energy
Conference entitled "The Energy Mix: Investment Opportunities and the
Future of Development."
Dr. Mahmoud Esmat,
Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, represented Prime Minister Dr.
Mustafa Madbouli at the conference. He was accompanied by Karim Badawy,
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; Mohammad El-Shimi, Minister of
Public Business Sector; Mohammad Salah El-Din Mustafa, Minister of State for
Military Production; Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports; Adel
El-Naggar, Governor of Giza; Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia; Dr. Mohammad
Fayez Farahat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahram Foundation; Maged
Mounir, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram Foundation; and Mohammad Ibrahim
El-Desouki, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram Portal and Al-Ahram Al-Masai. The
delegation also included several ambassadors, university presidents, experts,
and officials from the electricity, energy, petroleum, finance, and investment
sectors.
The conference addresses the global transformations in the
energy mix, including trends in renewable energy, fossil fuels, and nuclear
power. It explores investment opportunities, public-private partnership models,
and the challenges and policies that support sustainable development.
Additionally, it covers legislation and policies that stimulate investment, the
trend toward regional integration and international cooperation, and Egypt's
potential as a regional energy hub.
