Cairo Gov. attends Climate Change Forum in Higher Institute of Applied Arts
Cairo
Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber witnessed the Climate Change Forum held by the
Higher Institute of Applied Arts in the 5th Settlement neighborhood in
conjunction with the "COP30" held in Brazil in November.
Governor Saber also inspected
the Fine Arts exhibition held on the sidelines of the forum and honored the
winning students and participants in its activities.
The governor was
accompanied by Dr. Karima Abdel Karim, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of
the Egyptian Chinese University and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of
the Humanitarian Association for the Advancement of Society—owner of the New
Cairo Institutes in the 5th Settlement neighborhood —as
well as Dr. Essam Ibrahim, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the
Egyptian Chinese University, and Dr. Sohair Othman, Dean of the Higher
Institute of Applied Arts in the 5th Settlement neighborhood.
Governor Saber
expressed his happiness at being among the students, emphasizing that climate
change represents a major global crisis and that everyone must cooperate to
overcome it.
During his meeting
with the students, Saber reviewed the state's efforts to revitalize Cairo,
particularly in its historical and heritage areas. He also expressed support
for establishing a cooperation protocol between the institute and the
governorate in the fields of community development, environmental protection,
and afforestation.
