Cairo Gov. conducts extensive campaign against violating drivers
Cairo
Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber led an extensive inspection campaign targeting
public transport drivers who violate regulations, as well as disorganized bus
and microbus stations near Ramses, Alf Maskn, and El-Salam bus stations, to
prevent passengers from being picked up outside designated areas.
The governor was
accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governors Ibrahim Abdel Hadi and Mona Al-Batrawi,
along with officials from the General Department of Cairo Traffic, the Public
Utilities Police, and executive bodies of the Cairo Governorate.
The campaign
resulted in deterrent legal measures against the violators.
Governor Saber
stated that no random stations or illegal parking will be permitted near the new
model parking lots established by the state and implemented by the National
Roads Company. This measure aims to eliminate disorder, reorganize parking
spaces, facilitate traffic flow, and ease the movement of citizens.
He also ordered the
continuation of campaigns and the deployment of traffic police, public
utilities police, and executive bodies in the districts to prevent the
recurrence of encroachments and illegal parking.
