Cairo Gov. inspects final preparations for Azbakeya park development work
Cairo
Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber, accompanied by Dr. Khaled Fouda, Advisor to the
President for Local Development and Chairman of the National Committee for the
Protection and Development of Historic Cairo, inspected the final preparations
for the development work of the Azbakeya Park and the Libraries area, carried
out by the Ministry of Housing. This inspection was conducted ahead of their
upcoming inauguration as part of efforts to restore the distinctive
archaeological features of Khedivial Cairo, revive its spirit, restore its
cultural significance, enhance its tourist appeal, and redevelop and replan the
area as a tourist and cultural destination.
The governor was
also accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Ibrahim Abdel Hadi, Assistant Advisor
to the President for Local Development Dr. Abdullah El-Sherif, and several
officials from the Ministry of Housing and the Cairo Governorate.
During the tour, the
Advisor to the President for Local Development and Chairman of the National
Committee for the Protection and Development of Historic Cairo emphasized the
need to promptly complete the ongoing work according to the planned schedule.
On the other hand,
Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber noted the keenness of the governorate's
executive bodies to provide all forms of support to complete the development
work.
