Cairo Gov. conducts inspection tour of one of May 15 flour mills
Ahead
of the Eid al-Adha feast, Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber inspected a
subsidized flour mill located in the industrial zone of May 15 City. The mill
has an extraction rate of 87.5% and a processing capacity of 58 tons of wheat
per day. It provides the essential flour for bakeries to produce subsidized
bread, which is distributed to 45 bakeries in the May 15 City and Helwan neighborhoods.
The governor was
accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Ashraf Mansour, Director of Cairo’s Supply
Directorate Naser Thabet, and several executives from the Cairo governorate.
During the tour, Governor
Saber checked the mill's operational mechanisms, including the control room for
mill operations, the flour-grinding cylinders, the packaging machine, and the
various phases of production quality monitoring.
Moreover, Saber
emphasized the importance of adhering to quality standards in flour production
to ensure that the bread meets the required specifications.
Saber also
emphasized the importance of continuous daily monitoring and oversight of mills
and bakeries to ensure an efficient workflow.
Saber further
emphasized that the state places significant importance on securing the
essential needs of its citizens, particularly bread. He highlighted the
necessity of maintaining the efficiency of production lines and conducting
regular maintenance on all equipment to ensure continued optimal operation.
