Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber followed up on the ongoing relocation of vendors from the Zelzal informal street market in the Mokattam neighborhood to the newly established Ammar ibn Yasser Modern Market, which is also located in Mokattam.

Governor Saber emphasized that the return of recently removed encroachments and informal structures to the location of the old market will not be permitted under any circumstances. He added that this issue is being continuously monitored.

During his tour, Saber emphasized the importance of providing all necessary facilities for the relocation of vendors. He also highlighted that designated spaces have been allocated for all vendors from the old market in the new modern markets. This ensures that they can conduct their activities in an organized and safe environment for both vendors and market visitors.
