16 April 2025
About

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber inaugurated the Technical Education Exhibition and Workshops titled “Manufacture and Innovate” at the Nasr City Technical School, which featured the participation of 38 industrial schools.

During the inauguration ceremony, Governor Saber emphasized that the political leadership places significant importance on technical education, as it is a key avenue for achieving the comprehensive development plans and programs outlined in Egypt's Vision 2030.

That has prompted the Egyptian government to implement a national strategy aimed at establishing the foundations of a non-traditional technical education system. This system focuses on providing an applied learning environment for curricula that simulate the labor market across various local, regional, and global specializations. Additionally, it seeks to enhance the qualifications of human resources and improve their technical and technological readiness in response to rapid developments in diverse fields. The strategy also encourages a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship while upgrading the skills of those involved in the educational process to meet international standards.

Moreover, Saber said the state is committed to empowering young people, nurturing their talents, and preparing them for excellence in the labor market. It also aims to equip them with the essential knowledge and skills required to thrive in their careers, thereby producing qualified graduates in various specializations that are in demand in the labor market.

During his visit to the exhibition, Saber remarked that the quality of the students' exhibited products is a source of pride, as it demonstrates significant improvement each time and showcases the skills of both the students and the faculty supervising their training. He also mentioned that the establishment of permanent exhibitions to promote the students' products will be considered.

The governor was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Eng. Mona Batrawi, Director of Cairo’s Education Directorate Samah Ibrahim, and several officials of Cairo governorate.

The exhibition showcases products created by students from nearly 300 technical education schools across Cairo. It includes workshops focused on computer science and various commercial projects, such as printing, textiles, pottery, and decoration. Additionally, the exhibition features graduation projects from the Arab Organization for Industrialization, as well as workshops on artifact restoration, concrete work, plumbing, plastering, jewelry and metalworking, turning, wood inlay, and automotive skills. There is also a dual education workshop in collaboration with a global automotive company based in Egypt.

The annual exhibition also showcases displays from various sectors, including woodworking, agricultural production, electrical and electronic technologies, refrigeration and air conditioning, textiles, entrepreneurship, decorative arts, decorative metals, mechanical engineering, ready-made clothing, hotel management schools, and special education exhibits.
