About

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber attended the inauguration of the “Diarna” Pavilion for handicrafts and heritage at the Agricultural Museum in the Dokki neighborhood. This event was led by Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsi and took place on the sidelines of the Spring Flower Exhibition. Minister Morsi was accompanied by Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation; Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development; and Eng. Adel El-Naggar, Governor of Giza.

During the inauguration ceremony, Governor Saber said the pavilion embodies the vision of the political leadership under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to promote entrepreneurship and foster a culture of self-employment among young people.

Saber added that the “Diarna” Pavilion, which aims to revive traditional and handmade crafts while supporting young people in establishing outlets to sell and market their products, reflects the state’s efforts to preserve heritage, encourage local and handmade industries, create new job opportunities, and promote small, medium, and micro enterprises. This initiative aligns with the priorities and objectives of the Egyptian government, which seeks to enhance investment in human capital in accordance with Egypt's Vision 2030.

The exhibition hosts a large number of exhibitors, who showcase their heritage and handmade products, as well as Arabesque, copper, and glass crafts, in addition to home and fashion accessories.
