Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber and Deputy Damietta Governor Shaimaa Al-Sediq,
representing the governor of Damietta, inaugurated the “Made in Damietta”
Furniture Exhibition at the Fair Ground in Madinet Nasr. The inauguration
ceremony was attended by Deputy Cairo Governor Mona Batrawi and Basel Rahmi,
CEO of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency.
During the ceremony, Saber praised the displayed products
for their quality and competitive prices. He further noted that Damietta is
renowned for the quality and variety of its furniture products.
Saber also stated that the exhibition reflects the state and
its various authorities’ interest in localizing and supporting national
industries, given they are the backbone of the national economy and essential
for achieving development in this sector. The exhibition also supports the
National Strategy for Sustainable Development, Egypt Vision 2030.
The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Micro,
Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, features 66 exhibitors in
partnership with the Chamber of Commerce in Damietta, the Damietta Furniture
City, the Cooperative Committee for Furniture Manufacturing, and the
cooperative associations in Damietta. They will showcase their products to the
audience of Greater Cairo and the neighboring governorates at competitive
prices that meet public needs. The exhibition will run for ten days, from
December 5 to December 14, and opens daily from 10 AM to 10 PM.
The "Made in Damietta" exhibition features a
diverse collection of luxurious furniture from Damietta, a city renowned
worldwide for its high-quality natural woods and a blend of traditional and
modern designs that cater to various tastes. This is offered at competitive
prices, making it accessible to Egyptian consumers seeking to furnish their
homes and acquire distinctive pieces of furniture.
