Housing min., Cairo gov. inspect Magra El-Oyoun development project
Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and
Urban Communities Sherif El-Sherbini and Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber
inspected the progress of the Magra El Oyoun Aqueduct development project that
is part of the historic Cairo restoration. The project aims to revive one of
Cairo's most significant areas and is in line with the state's efforts for
urban regeneration.
Minister Sherbini and
Governor Saber were accompanied by officials from the ministry, the
governorate, and the New Urban Communities.
During the
tour, Minister Sherbini said the first phase of the Magra El-Oyoun development
project is almost complete. This phase includes 79 buildings with 1,924 housing
units and a hotel operated and managed by one of the largest global companies.
It also has a commercial, administrative, and entertainment mall featuring
restaurants, cinemas, and an open-air theater.
Sherbini added that designs are
currently prepared to begin the second phase of one of the mega development
projects underway in Cairo.
It is also in alignment with the
directives of the political leadership to restore Cairo to its urban splendor
and enable it to fulfill its historical, cultural, and tourism roles.
