Cairo Gov. conducts inspection tour of new Salam Microbus Station
5 April 2025
Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the relocation of street vendors from the new Salam Microbus Station to the newly established station. This initiative is part of the state's efforts to enhance market conditions and improve bus and microbus stations.
During the tour, Governor Saber stressed the need to remove waste and encroachments from the area surrounding the station in preparation for its inauguration and operation.
Moreover, Saber emphasized the state's commitment to eradicating informal markets and illegal parking lots, which contribute to traffic obstructions and congestion.
Saber added that the development and modernization of infrastructure, the restructuring of the parking system, and illegal parking lots—which contribute to congestion and disrupt traffic flow—are among the most critical national projects the state is diligently pursuing. These efforts aim to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens, ease traffic flow in front of parking lots, eliminate violations and congestion, address informality, and improve the overall aesthetic of the area.
The governor was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Eng. Mona Batrawi, Head of Cairo’s Cleaning, Beautification, and Lighting General Authority Waleed Abu El-Nasr, and several executives of the Cairo governorate.
