Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber inspected the medical awareness convoy organized by the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood at the Tahya Misr Girls Preparatory School in Asmarat City. The convoy targets students in the primary and preparatory stages.
The medical convoy conducts screenings for children to detect and treat eye diseases early in collaboration with a local NGO. The convoy also introduces female students to the "Dawwie" initiative, #your story, complete theirs, and the national initiative for child empowerment, "Bokra Bina.". The "Dawwie" initiative encourages girls to express their opinions, hopes, and fears, share their stories and experiences, and empower them within their communities.
During the tour, Saber joined the students in their educational activities during the break. These activities aim to train them on the importance of work, accepting differences and others, and engaging positively in society.
The governor was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Ashraf Mansour, President of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood Sahar El-Sonbaty, the former Governor of Sohag and Ophthalmologist Dr. Ayman Abdel Moneim, Director of Education Directorate Samah Mohammad Ibrahim, and officials from the High Committee for Child Protection in Cairo Governorate.
