Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber inspected ongoing maintenance work at Tahrir Square and surrounding areas.
The maintenance included repainting the columns and fences around the square, maintaining lighting poles, increasing green spaces, replacing 46 damaged palm trees, and planting nearly 23,000 new plants and flowers. It also included beautifying the flower beds with Islamic and Pharaonic designs, lotus drawings, and adding hardscape drawings consistent with the characteristics of the square.
The governor was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Ibrahim Abdel Hady, Assistant Secretary-General Yahia Adghm, Head of the Cairo Cleaning and Beautification Authority Ehab El-Shershaby, and several officials of Cairo governorate.
