President Abdel
Fattah El-Sisi toured the military Strategic Command Centre in the New
Administrative Capital in preparation for the relocation of the Armed Forces
Command there.
During the tour,
President El-Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces, issued
directives to make the center an edifice for the Egyptian people and a vital
asset to the army’s capabilities in a way that ensures integrated planning and
coordination among military entities and maintains the preparedness to face
challenges effectively and efficiently through state-of-the-art technology
systems.
The president was
received at the premises by Minister of Defence and Military Production General
Abdel Maguid Saqr and Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lt. General Ahmed Khalifa,
Head of the Egyptian Military Academy Lt. General Ashraf Salem Zaher, in
addition to several military commanders.
“Amid extremely
complex regional and international conditions, maximizing the comprehensive
power of the Egyptian state is placed at the top of our priorities,” El-Sisi
said.
The president added
that in light of international changes and developments, it has been proven
that “whoever wants peace must possess the necessary power that is capable of
maintaining it.”
The president
asserted that the new strategic command will play a pivotal role in promoting
strenuous efforts to protect Egyptian national security on all strategic fronts
in a way that achieves the state’s strategic objectives.
