His Eminence Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Jendy, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, continued Yesterday, monitoring the second phase of examinations for the Ramadan Overseas Delegation Competition for the year 1448 AH / 2027 AD.
During his tour, Dr. Mohamed El-Gendy followed part of the committees’ work on their second day, emphasizing the importance of linking the examinations to the nature of the mission that the envoy will undertake during Ramadan, and the scholarly and religious preparation it requires to qualify him to address the various issues and topics he encounters in the communities to which he is sent.
Dr. El-Gendy pointed out that the Al-Azhar envoy carries a scholarly and religious mission that extends beyond conducting lessons and religious meetings; through his presence and interactions with members of Muslim communities, he contributes to introducing the Al-Azhar methodology and presenting a balanced understanding of religious issues, in a manner suited to the nature and needs of each community.
The Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy explained that the Ramadan missions represent one of the channels of communication through which Al-Azhar Al-Sharif seeks to convey its message to Muslims around the world, particularly during this blessed month, when circles of religious communication expand and Muslim communities’ needs for religious programs and activities become more diverse.
The second phase of the examinations for the Ramadan mission is scheduled to continue until tomorrow, Thursday , according to the timetable set for it, in preparation for completing the prescribed procedures for selecting the envoys participating in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif’s missions during the blessed month.
