The Cairo Traffic Administration is deploying the necessary traffic services to manage any expected congestion and ensure smooth traffic flow as work continues to repair the ground subsidence affecting the sewage line on Ben Sender Street in the El-Zeitoun district.
The road closure will extend from its intersection with Saraya El-Qobba Street to its intersection with Beni Aqil Street, starting at 12:05 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, for a period of 10 days. This will require the full closure of Ben Sender Street to carry out open excavation work along the specified section.
Traffic will be diverted as follows: Vehicles approaching from the beginning of Ben Sender Street will turn right onto Saraya El-Qobba Street before the work zone, then left onto El-Shifa Street, left onto Beni Aqil Street, and right back onto Ben Sender Street after the work zone.
The Cairo Traffic Administration will also deploy the necessary traffic services and coordinate with the companies carrying out the work to install technical assistance equipment and all required signs and safety measures indicating the presence of roadwork in the area, in order to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
