New Opportunity for Citizens: Building Violation Reconciliation, Land Regularization Dates

New Opportunity for Citizens.. Building Violation Reconciliation, Land Regularization Dates

Citizens seeking to reconcile building violations and legalize the status of land owned by the state are set to benefit from an additional six-month extension, following the Cabinet’s approval to extend the deadlines for submitting applications. The extension gives applicants another opportunity to complete the required procedures and regularize their status in accordance with applicable laws.

The additional period for submitting applications to reconcile certain building violations will begin on November 5, 2026, and last for six months. This is intended to give citizens who were unable to submit their applications or complete the required documentation during previous periods more time to do so.

The new extension allows owners of buildings with violations eligible for reconciliation to complete their application files and submit them to the competent administrative authorities, in accordance with the applicable legal requirements and procedures.

Submitting a reconciliation application does not mean that the violation will automatically receive final approval. Applications remain subject to review, examination, and verification to ensure that all requirements have been met before the competent authorities make a decision.

The extension also applies to applications to legalize the status of privately owned state land, granting citizens an additional six months to complete the required legal procedures.

This measure comes as part of the implementation of Law No. 168 of 2025 concerning the regulation and legalization of certain rules and procedures governing the disposal of privately owned state property, while adhering to the regulations established by the law and the relevant authorities.

Land legalization applications go through several stages designed to verify the submitted information and ensure compliance with legal requirements. These include reviewing documents and application data, conducting land surveys and on-site inspections, followed by examination, valuation, and a decision on the application.

Once these stages have been completed, contractual procedures are finalized for cases that meet the legal requirements, in accordance with the decisions of the competent authorities.

The additional extension provides an opportunity for citizens seeking to reconcile building violations or legalize state land to complete their applications and avoid missing the specified deadlines. Applicants should ensure that all required documents are prepared and consult the relevant administrative authority to confirm the procedures and regulations applicable to their individual cases.

Approval of applications and decisions on them remain contingent on meeting the legal requirements, rather than merely submitting an application during the extension period.
