Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Acting Minister of Culture and Minister of Higher Education, views digital transformation and smart solutions as strategic pillars for developing the Cairo International Book Fair and improving services for visitors.
Konsowa emphasized that the 58th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair represents an exceptional milestone in the event’s digital transformation and organizational development. He noted that this year’s efforts go beyond addressing current logistical challenges to establishing a sustainable digital and investment infrastructure based on the latest artificial intelligence technologies and smart solutions, serving millions of visitors and making cultural content more accessible.
Preparations for the fair have included discussions on a presentation outlining the launch of the digital platform and unified electronic application, scheduled to be launched by December 1. The application will offer smart search for book titles and publishers, interactive maps, and e-ticket booking. Officials are also considering adding an AI assistant and an offline browsing feature.
Meanwhile, several measures are being studied to address infrastructure and network challenges at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center through the formation of a joint working team with the Ministry of Communications, aimed at providing the best possible service to visitors.
