The Ministry of Social Solidarity continues to accept applications for the second edition of the “Farha Misr” initiative, under the patronage of Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi, wife of the President of the Republic. The initiative aims to support young men and women from the most vulnerable families who are preparing for marriage.
The initiative helps provide essential household furnishings and offers psychological and social preparation programs to help young couples build a stable family life.
Registration remains open to eligible applicants through the “Farha Misr” platform, where they can submit the required information in accordance with the applicable regulations.
The initiative builds on the success of its first edition and seeks to expand support for vulnerable families and assist young people as they begin married life. Eligible groups include beneficiaries of the “Takaful and Karama” cash-support program, current or former residents of care homes, individuals living with foster families, and people with disabilities who meet the initiative’s requirements.
To qualify, applicants must have completed their marriage contract or “half coronation” ceremony, must not have held the wedding ceremony yet, and the marriage must be the first for both parties. Neither party must have previously benefited from a similar initiative or equivalent in-kind support from the Ministry or any other organization. Both parties must also be Egyptian citizens and of legal marriage age.
Support under the “Farha Misr” initiative goes beyond furnishing the marital home. It also includes psychological and social preparation through the “Mawadda” program, which provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to build a stable family life, as well as family counseling and support after marriage.
