Coinciding with Egypt’s and the Armed Forces’ celebrations of the 53rd anniversary of the October Victories, Major General Ahmed Hassan Abu Sharq, Director of the Veterans and War Casualties Association, inaugurated an art exhibition showcasing the creative works and products of veterans, the families of martyrs, and those wounded in military operations. The exhibition will run through October 11 at the Association’s headquarters in Al-Wafaa and Al-Amal, Nasr City.
The exhibition features a wide range of products created by members of the Veterans and War Casualties Association, including ceramics, sculptures, copper engraving, glass painting, leather and wood products, and textiles. It also showcases the Association’s prosthetic limbs and assistive devices.
The Association regularly organizes such exhibitions to showcase members’ work as part of its activities aimed at discovering and developing their various talents and skills. It also provides members across the country with comprehensive healthcare, social, sports, and support services.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of Armed Forces commanders, military attachés, and members of the Association, including veterans, those wounded in military operations, and families of martyrs.
