The Media Center of the Cabinet confirmed that the “Chat Egypt” platform is an intelligent tool for verifying information and enhancing access to the truth from its official source.
The platform was launched as part of the “Egypt Forum 2026,” serving as the largest unified digital and interactive platform for combating rumors using artificial intelligence (AI).
The platform provides an integrated tool for monitoring, verifying, and responding to rumors, based on an institutional framework that ensures accurate information is made available from official sources at the appropriate time.
The platform comprises four main sections: News, Awareness, Statistics, and Citizens’ Inquiries. It uses AI technologies to analyze texts, images, and video clips and link them to the correct temporal and informational context, helping detect misleading content and information manipulation at an early stage.
More than 21,000 data entries have been added to the platform to date, in addition to daily statements made by officials across media outlets.
The platform relies on institutional integration and coordination among ministries, government agencies, and governorates through a decentralized operating system. This enables each official entity to upload its own verified data and information within its respective area of responsibility, ensuring that circulating misinformation can be corrected promptly.
The “Chat Egypt” platform represents a new step toward the rapid detection, verification, and refutation of rumors, helping limit their spread before they reach a wider audience.
