Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber honored 17 students from Cairo who ranked among the top performers in their senior year of general secondary school, the visually impaired secondary school, technical diplomas, and technical diplomas for students with hearing impairments. Governor Saber awarded them certificates of appreciation and financial rewards in recognition of their academic excellence, dedication, and diligence. He added that these students serve as honorable role models for Cairo’s youth and embody the rewards of effort and perseverance.
Saber added that this occasion carries meanings beyond celebrating outstanding academic achievements; it is a celebration of the value of hard work, a triumph of willpower, and a message that nations are built through the minds of their children and shaped by the hands of those who believe that knowledge is the truest path to progress.
Moreover, Saber stated that today’s recognition is not about scores or numbers but about a long journey of perseverance and discipline—years of hard work during which students faced many challenges yet chose excellence as the hallmark of their journey and distinction as their path to the future. He added that true success is not determined by circumstances but by determination and that anyone with a clear goal and faith in their abilities can overcome obstacles to achieve the distinction and recognition they deserve.
Saber also praised the role of parents, who are the true support for their children, and the teachers who convey the message of knowledge with sincerity, making them partners in this success. He added that building a person is a shared responsibility that begins with the family, is reinforced by the school, and is embraced by state institutions.
Saber further stated that this honor is not the end of a journey but the beginning of a new phase, where dreams expand and responsibilities increase. Every success achieved by students provides a genuine opportunity to contribute to the nation’s progress—a nation that depends on the minds of its youth and believes that investing in human capital is the foundation of all advancement. He added that a person is what they offer their country: useful knowledge, sincere effort, and innovative thinking. Therefore, the top performers of both the senior year of secondary school and technical diploma programs are regarded with pride and honor, as each represents a cornerstone in building the new republic. Just as nations need scientists and researchers, they equally require skilled technical professionals who transform knowledge into achievement, plans into reality, and ambitions into tangible projects.
Saber added that experience has shown that advanced nations rise only through the integration of intellect and skills. Therefore, technical education has become an essential partner in the development journey, serving as a central element in supporting industry and production and in meeting labor market needs in alignment with the state’s vision of building a competitive economy based on knowledge, innovation, and expertise.
Saber stated that Cairo, in coordination with the Education Directorate, continues to support the development of the educational system. He emphasized that investing in human capital is the most valuable and sustainable investment and that providing an educational environment worthy of our children is a duty and responsibility toward the nation's present moment.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Hemmat Abu Kila, director of Cairo’s Education Directorate; Abdel Raouf Allam, chairman of the Supreme Council of Trustees; parents and teachers; and several officials from the Cairo Governorate.
It is noted that Cairo Governorate secured six places among the top performers nationwide in the senior year of the general secondary school examinations. The distinguished students are Mohab Mohammad Youssef Hassanein, who ranked second in the Science–Mathematics track from Qayitbay Private Language School in New Cairo, with a total of 319.5 marks; Abdel Rahman Hassan Karim Nour El-Din, who ranked third in the Science–Mathematics track from Lycée El-Horreya National Secondary Language School in Abdeen, with a total of 319 marks; Nada Abdel Halim Abdel Ghany, who ranked tenth in the Science–Mathematics track from Nozha Ismailia Girls’ Secondary Language School in the Nozha district, with a total of 318 marks; Mazen Hassan Mahmoud El-Sayed Asr, who ranked second in the Science–Biology stream from Nour Private Secondary Language School in Basateen, with a total of 319.5 marks; Mohammad Sameh Mohammad Fathy, who ranked eighth in the Science–Biology track from the Motafawqin Secondary Boys’ School in Ain Shams, with a total of 319 marks; and Ahmed Shaarawi Refa'at El-Sayed, who ranked first in the Literary track (Integration) from King Fahd Secondary Boys’ School in East Nasr City, with a total of 319 marks.
Cairo also attained advanced rankings in the Secondary School for the Visually Impaired. The distinguished students are Mohammad Farag Mohammad Kamel from Taha Hussein Secondary Boys’ School for the Blind, who ranked second nationwide with a total of 306 marks. Omar Islam Ragab Issa Ahmed from Al-Nour School for the Blind ranked third with 305 marks. Mahmoud Reda Abu El-Yazid Ahmed from Taha Hussein School for the Blind ranked fourth with 302.5 marks. Radwa Sami Mohamed Mahmoud from Mustafa Asaker Secondary School for Blind Girls ranked fifth with 300 marks. Abdullah Saleh Ibrahim ranked tenth nationwide and sixth within Cairo Governorate with 297 marks.
As for technical diplomas, Cairo Governorate secured two places among the top achievers nationwide: Mariam Basily Yacoub Anis from the “I-Tech” Advanced Secondary School for Applied Technology in El-Shorouk, with a score of 98.9%, and Mohamed Fawzy Nabawi Ahmed El-Sayed from Shubra Hotel Secondary School for Dual Education and Training in El-Sahel, with a score of 93.17%.
Cairo’s students also secured top positions in the technical diplomas for students with hearing impairments. The top-performing students are Reem Khaled Ahmed Zaki Nassar, who ranked first from Amal Salah El-Din School in the Nozha district; Ahmed Abu Bakr Mohamed Galal, who ranked second from Amal Madiha Konsowa School in the Sharq Madinet Nasr district; Arwa Mahmoud Mounir Sayed, who shared second place from Amal Salah El-Din School in the Nozha district; and Mostafa Mohammad Abdel Halim, who ranked fourth from Amal Salah El-Din School in the Nozha district.
