Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber conducted an inspection tour of the Asmarat Medical Center to follow up on the activities of the fourth phase of the Presidential “100 Youm Seha” Initiative, launched on August 1 under the slogan “Year of the Patient’s Voice and Patient Support.” The tour aimed to ensure the consistent delivery of medical services to citizens.
The governor was accompanied by deputy Cairo governors Ashraf Mansour and Omar El-Shafaei along with the director of Cairo's Health Affairs Directorate, Tamer Madkour, and several officials from the Cairo Governorate.
Governor Saber said the “100 Youm Seha” is one of the most important presidential initiatives, aimed at providing free medical services to all citizens, particularly the most vulnerable groups. It offers a comprehensive package of early detection, treatment, and health awareness services. It will also contribute to improving the standard of living and realizing the state’s goal of creating a modern, inclusive healthcare system.
The governor added that the slogan “Year of the Patient’s Voice and Patient Support” reflects the state’s commitment to enhancing the patient experience, listening to their needs, and ensuring high-quality healthcare. He further said the Cairo Governorate is providing full support to guarantee the initiative's success and to expand its services across the capital’s districts.
The governor urged citizens to leverage the free medical services available, which include several presidential public health initiatives.
During his tour, Saber inspected patient reception areas and checked on the orderly progress of work inside clinics. He also received updates from initiative staff regarding the services provided and the patients’ admission procedures. Saber also instructed staff to treat citizens with respect, simplify procedures, and uphold the highest standards of quality in healthcare delivery.
Dr. Tamer Madkour, Director of the Health Affairs Directorate, said that since the presidential “100 Youm Seha” initiative began on August 1, over 691,000 people in Cairo have received its services.
Madkour added that the initiative provides a wide range of free medical services, including women's health support for the early detection of breast cancer in women over 18; newborn hearing screening and treatment of hearing loss; maternal and fetal care; premarital medical examinations; early detection and treatment of cancers (lung, colon, prostate, and cervical); chronic disease treatment and early detection of kidney disorders; the "Sehetak Sa'adatak" initiative; autism spectrum disorder screening for children; elderly healthcare services; and health education services. Hence, these services form a comprehensive national model based on prevention, early detection, treatment, and follow-up.
