Tuesday weather: Slight drop in temperatures, with high of 35°C in Cairo

Today weather: Slight drop in temperatures, with high of 35°C in Cairo

The General Authority for Meteorology has announced the weather forecast for today, August 4, 2026. The country is expected to experience a slight decrease in temperatures across northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, with temperatures dropping by approximately 1–2°C.

The weather will be warm and humid during the early morning, becoming hot and humid during the daytime across northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo. Southern Egypt will remain extremely hot, while conditions at night will be warm and humid across most parts of the country.

The Authority noted that high humidity levels will make the temperature feel 2–4°C warmer than the actual air temperature in shaded areas.

It also forecast the formation of morning mist (fog) between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on some agricultural roads, highways, and roads near bodies of water across parts of northern Egypt, extending to Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. The fog may be dense at times on some roads.

In addition, there is a very slight chance (around 20%) of light rainfall over scattered areas of the northwestern coast and northern Nile Delta due to the formation of low clouds combined with increased humidity.

Expected temperatures in Cairo today: High: 35°C, Low: 25°C.
