Amir Taz Palace hosts ‘Civilizations Echoes’ exhibition to promote creativity

The Prince Taz Palace Creativity Center, located in the Khalifa neighborhood and affiliated with the Cultural Development Fund of the Ministry of Culture, will host the "Echoes of Civilizations" exhibition. Organized by ARSENOY Art, the event will take place on Tuesday, October 20, featuring Egyptian artists and students from the Faculty of Arts and Design at El-Sewedy University, as well as the Faculty of Digital Arts and Design at Egypt University of Informatics. The exhibition offers an opportunity to explore the relationship between Egyptian heritage, contemporary art, and technology, creating new possibilities for expressing cultural identity.

The exhibition will not only showcase artworks but also foster dialogue between creative practice and academic study through a program that includes a historic tour of the Prince Taz Palace and its Islamic architecture, live drawing sessions from 2 to 4 p.m., and a panel discussion titled "From the Roots of Heritage to the Horizons of Digital Creativity" from 4 to 7 p.m. This discussion will explore ways to draw inspiration from cultural heritage and reinterpret it in modern art.

The program concludes with performances by the Arab El-Fayoum Folk Arts and Heritage Music Troupe from 8 to 9 p.m., preceded by traditional Egyptian hospitality from 7 to 8 p.m., with the event wrapping up at 9:30 p.m.

The participation of students from universities alongside artists offers a space for exchanging expertise between generations, linking academic knowledge with practical experience, and exploring the potential of digital arts in presenting heritage through contemporary perspectives in a context that connects issues of identity with sustainability, cultural dialogue, and human communication.

Moreover, hosting the exhibition at Prince Taz Palace adds significant value to the event. The palace, one of Cairo's historic landmarks, showcases Islamic architecture alongside modern artistic expressions, creating an experience that transforms the heritage site into an active participant in the dialogue about the continuity of identity and the evolution of its modes of expression.

The hosting of the exhibition reflects the Cultural Development Fund's plan to expand the roles of creativity centers and historical sites as platforms for interaction among artists, students, and audiences and to reinforce partnerships between cultural and educational institutions.

The event also aligns with the Ministry of Culture's strategy to preserve Egyptian identity, supporting creativity, and providing spaces that empower new generations to discover heritage, reread it, and harness it in the production of contemporary culture.
