President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in Kuwait, the
second leg of his Gulf tour, after he paid an official visit to Qatar on
Monday.
The President was received by Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh
Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad
Al-Sabah, and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.
Welcoming the President's arrival in the State of
Kuwait, a number of Kuwaiti warplanes escorted his aircraft upon its entry into
Kuwaiti airspace.
Additionally, Kuwaiti scout children lined up as
President El-Sisi exited the Amiri Airport, carrying the flags of the two
brotherly countries, in a scene reflecting the depth of the fraternal ties
between the two countries.
Kuwait's Ambassador to Cairo, Ghanem Saqr Al-Ghanem
described Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi visit to his country, per an
invitation from the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah,
as ‘historic’.
He explained that the visit comes at a time when the
region is experiencing extremely difficult circumstances. And that this visit
underscores the depth of bilateral relations between the leaderships and
peoples of the two brotherly countries.
Egypt’s President Sisi started on Sunday a two-leg
Gulf tour that includes Qatar and Kuwait.
