Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli said the Education Development Fund (EDF) plays a key role in improving pre-university and university education, as well as strengthening cooperation and coordination between the Education Ministry and the Higher Education Ministry to provide high-quality education and deliver qualified graduates who are capable of meeting the requirements of the labor market.

Madbouli made the remarks while he was chairing the 44th meeting of the Education Development Fund, in the presence of Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el Wazir, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Rania el Mashat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour and Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif, as well as other officials.

Spokesman for the cabinet Mohammad El-Hommosani said the meeting saw the approval of the minutes of the 43rd meeting of the EDF’s board of directors and a review of the decisions taken in the fund’s previous meeting.

The spokesman added the meeting tackled some future projects of the fund, including a project on international licensing academies for practicing professions abroad, which aims to qualify one million Egyptian professionals/technicians over five years for the labor market in Europe, Canada, the US, and the Gulf countries.
