Minister
of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy and Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber inaugurated
the Egypt Employment Forum for young graduates. The forum was organized by the
Ministry of Youth and Sports. Saber and Sobhy also inaugurated an exhibition of
handicrafts and traditional products held at Bab Al-Shaaria Youth Center.
The inauguration
ceremony was attended by Deputy Cairo Governor Ibrahim Abdel Hadi, Deputy Minister
of Youth and Sports Ismail Al-Far, Director of Youth and Sports Directorate
Ahmad Abdel Wakeel, Director of Labour Directorate Ahmad Azazi, and several
officials of the Cairo governorate and Ministry of Youth and Sports.
During the
inauguration ceremony, Saber emphasized that this forum, which includes 25
companies offering job opportunities for youth, aligns with political
leadership's directives to enhance employment levels and create job
opportunities as a strategic goal. It is also a component of the government's
program to execute the economic development axis, a key pillar of Egypt's
Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
Saber added that the
forum provides job opportunities in various fields, such as sales, marketing,
administrative work, and customer service.
Moreover, Saber and
Sobhy inaugurated a handicraft exhibition. It featured 31 exhibitors of young
craftsmen and graduates from the Ministry of Youth and Sports initiative
"Teach Me a Craft."
Saber and Sobhy
praised the quality of the displayed products, which included carpets, kilim
rugs, shell and macramé products, wooden and leather products, and ceramics.
Saber said the
exhibition comes in line with the directives of the political leadership to
revive handicrafts and traditional crafts and open outlets for marketing them.
Saber added that it
is also part of the state's support for youth and medium, small, and micro
enterprises, enhancing the mechanisms for showcasing and marketing their
products, ensuring they reach the markets, and assisting the young people
working in these fields to transform them into productive projects.
Additionally, it aims to support and encourage local products, especially in
the handicrafts and traditional crafts sector, and to work on their development
and support.
